Get involved

back

Elevate and its partner local authorities encourage residents to get involved in the process of change taking place in their neighbourhoods. This can happen in a number of ways:

Consultation events

These are usually led by a private developer, a registered social landlord or the local authority. Residents are asked for feedback on development plans, and are sometimes presented with illustrated proposals on a housing scheme, park or town centre development and asked for their comments.

Creative projects

Various projects are organised using artists to engage residents in creative ways rather than through the usual methods. So, for example, you could get involved in creating a film, designing a garden or collecting stories about the history of where you live.

Resident training

Elevate is developing more training for residents to enable you to get more involved in the decision-making part of the regeneration process, which could include planning, design and delivery. More information will be available on this shortly.

If you would like more information on how to get involved, please contact Elevate’s Creative Community Engagement Officer Claire Tymon on 01254 304583 or claire.tymon@elevate-eastlancs.co.uk.
