Introduction
NationalSkills Academy for Construction ('the Academy') is a Centre of Excellence for Work Based Learning. The main focus of the Academy will be the establishment of project-based traning centres on all major construction projects.
The Elevate project area concerns primarily the pathfinder’s new build zones scheduled for Pennine Lancashire. The partnership has now established master plans and partner developers for 7 new build developments across the sub-region.
The skills academy project will focus upon this part of the Elevate project. The project features a series of key project outputs are: Sustainable Development, Building for Life, Partnership Working, Local labour, Local Supply, Quality Developer Practices Construction Predictability, Training, Health and Safety and Community Satisfaction.
