HMR Best Practice Network

back

The Best Practice Network is a forum where the country’s nine Housing Market Renewal pathfinders share information and feedback. It represents a powerful alliance and increases the impact and reach of the Government’s investment in the housing market.

The inaugural network workshop was hosted by Elevate in October 2005, and meetings have been held on a regular basis for representatives from the various pathfinders and their partner organisations to share best practice and to share their huge network of information. The vision was to establish a network of colleagues who would be able not only to review and improve at the construction process but also to investigate the wider issue of economic regeneration in the regions.

The network now extends across all nine pathfinder areas and meetings have included guest facilitators such as Richard MacFarlane - the renowned expert on social employment and community benefit issues – and the University of Salford, School of the Built Environment, a six star rated research centre to add their expert knowledge.

The network is now working to develop a collaborative network to support common approaches to employment, skills and social inclusion.

Through these pages network members can access the collected papers of the network and gain information on forthcoming meetings and events. This information is open to all readers as a means of sharing the work of the network. Click below for meeting reports and seminar details.
