"I have been a friend of Tony’s for over 20 years having worked together on Granada TV’s ‘Flying Start’ for 10 years, and many other projects across the region.

"More recently Elevate East Lancashire, the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder which I Chair, commissioned Tony and his partner - Yvette - to work on improving the image of the area.  His enthusiasm, energy and exciting ideas have shaped the agenda for what has now become known as Pennine Lancashire.  We will continue with this work, which will be part of Tony's legacy.
